On The Front Row with Anupama Chopra this week, Parineeti Chopra, Sam Balsara (Chairman, Madison World), Prasoon Joshi (ad-man/lyricist) and Satyaki Ghosh (Director of Consumer Products, L’Oreal) discuss an actor being a brand. Parineeti gives her take on brand endorsements, saying that she doesn’t want to be on television all the time, but on the flip side, endorsements help her connect with her audience even more. Read on to catch an excerpt from the show, which will air tonight!
Parineeti Chopra: When I choose a brand and I have signed on for four right now, I would never like to overdo it. I would hate it if I have more than four brands a year. I don’t want to be on TV all the time because at the end of the day my first job is to act. Yet when somebody goes and buys a ticket for 300 rupees, if they have seen me on TV and they haven’t seen my previous films they might make that extra effort to watch me in a film. So I am actually trying to be a step closer to my audience but I don’t want them to get bored of me by seeing me on TV all the time.
